Kes Qualified
It ended up being a very late night yesterday. The show ended at 8.30 pm, but it was worth waiting for the last class... Advanced Freestyle and the Top Lodge Dogs did well.
Kath with Tipp placed 2nd, Lesley with Angus 3rd and Karen with Kes qualified for the Crufts Semi Final by placing 4th. Well done old lady (I meant Kes is an old lady - not Karen!!!). Kath with Spice placed 7th.
Congratulations to the trio with all their great results!

Top Lodge go "Punk" with Iggy Pop
Nicky Abrahams contacted the Top Lodge Team last year with a view to filming the dog dancing to an Iggy Pop record "I Wanna Be Your Dog". The team invited Nick to a training session one day in 2009 to see if he thought it could work - the answer was a resounding "YES" and the film crew travelled from London to make this production.. Nicky was impressed with the dogs and hopefully Karen, Lesley and Kath!! It is 40 years since Iggy Pop recorded this song and the film is to be a tribute to him.
It was about 24 degrees when Nicky, Toby and Ed arrived from London - pink collars were provided for the handlers and tags for the dogs.
Those living close by were warned that Iggy Pop would be blasted out for most of the afternoon and the filming began.
The Trio worked hard making sure the dogs Spice, Angus and Fly weren't too hot - but they were given good breaks between "takes".

The Top Lodge Final Day at Balmoral Show
Friday at Balmoral Show - a lovely sunny day. Top Lodge Team start their day at the Connolly's Red Mills Stand. Kath shows how to train some of the simpler moves to children from a visiting school.
And then moves on to showing a jump or two.
And Karen lets one of the pupils "have a go" with Erin, her rescued 12 month old puppy which she adopted last year from Ireland.
Kath then involved Amber in the demonstration showing a nice steady "beg".
