Rutland Dog Day

Barry Brigg, The Rutland Dog Warden invited the Top Lodge Dancing Dog Display Team to be part of the Rutland Dog Day 20th September 2009.

The weather was superb - and the ground perfect for their dancing.

A large crowd gathered for each of the three displays the team performed.

Angus posed for the cameras!

And of course the children tried to "Beat The Dog" as Fly performed different moves which they had to match.

Spice was in her element in the "Scarecrow" routine.

The team were asked to present gifts from Rutland to the 3 Counties Dog Rescue for their tireless work.

And Rutland's only female "Bin Wagon" driver was there with their mascot! Top Lodge Dancing Dogs thank Cory Environmental for supporting their visit to Oakham.

And to finsh the day's entertainment - the team performed as a Trio.

More awards - this time for the Top Dogs from the Dog Show!

Aberystwyth Club Training Weekend

Many of the members who attended last year’s training weekend, plus a new member, made a return journey for another weekend of work, fun and barbeque with Lesley Neville at Riddings on September 5th and 6th.

In between learning how to save beef burgers from the ashes, and identifying which types of Bat live in the area, and catching up on the general gossip, the group looked at motivation and improving their current or new routines.

It was lovely to see how the dogs and handlers had improved over the year, and of course to welcome some new additions to the group.

Coming Soon to Pet Expo Dublin October 2009

Kath and Karen are looking forward to travelling to the RDS Dublin to entertain at Pet Expo on 9th, 10th and 11th October 2009. They will be travelling with their six dogs, all of whom will be performing.

One of the routines which Kath will perform will be with her Rescue dog Tipp to Duelling Violins from River Dance.

And Karen will have Erin with her who was a rescue pup from Ireland.

So make a point of seeing the dancing dogs at Pet Expo - and see how much Erin knows already!

CFGB Show at Tomlinson's

The Top Lodge Trio has had a very busy weekend at the Canine Freestyle GB Show at Tomlinson's in Markfield. They were all involved in organizing and running a very big show with 200+ entries.

All went well and even though the trio was busy, Lesley still managed to find time to compete with Angus. They did well in Advanced Freestyle and won the class.

Karen and Kath had not entered any dogs this time...

A Busy Day in Derbyshire with Danish Friends

The day started with a training session indoors for Emmy, Helle and Karen.

A Walk Through Shipley Country Park

Emmy Simonsen and Helle Larssen came to the UK from Denmark this week for the Canine Freestyle GB Competition to be held 12th & 13th September - so for a day out Kath and Karen took them for a long walk in Shipley Country Park.
