Macclesfield Family Fun Day

23rd August 2009

The Top Lodge Dancing Dogs were invited to entertain at West Park, Macclesfield for the Fun Day. The park was full of side stalls, trade stands and the two performance arenas were very close to each other.

Karen and Fly started the entertainment with a Heelwork to Music Routine to "Hernando's Hideaway". The crowds started gathering as soon as they realised the "Dog Dancing" had started.

Although it wasn't too sunny, the crowds were able to sit on the grass to watch the routines.
Lesley and Angus entertained with their routine to "There Ain't Nothing Like a Dame" showing his Beardie Bounce!
The crowds continued to grow! And a quieter moment in Angus' routine.
Then Kath and Spice with "Those Magnificent Men In Their Flying Machines". The show was the noisiest that the team had been invited to! With many loud explosions, simulated gun fire and what seemed to be hundreds of motor cycle performances in the adjacent arena!
The Top Lodge dogs were wonderful as they performed immaculately despite the added distractions.
The show continued with Karen and Fly performing to "Roxie" - at last a show with weather and ground good enough for wearing full costume including shoes!
The crowd loved the routine.
Tipp and Kath entertaining with Seaside Rendezvous - Tipp loves this routine.
Happy Tipp despite the surrounding noise!
Karen and Fly then invited many children into the ring to see if they could "Beat The Dog". Karen would give Fly a command and the children had to try and mimic the move faster! And no - they couldn't!
What well behaved children!
Lesley and Angus with The Farmer and the Cowman. This is one of Angus' favourite routines.
Up and Over! The Beardie coat flowing well in his jumps!
Karen took to the ring with Erin to show some of the basic moves and how we train the dogs. Erin is just loosing her puppy teeth so her focus on Karen at this young is great.
Erin following the hand with no food in!
Lesley and Angus performing to The Beautiful Briney - for once the weather stayed dry as they performed as if swimming in the Briney Sea!
Kath and Spice - "If I Only Had A Brain" the audience seemed settled to sit and watch the Dog Dancing for the whole day! Some had brought seats along to reserve their places!
Spice's ears were in full flow!
Jez Avery was enteratining in the other Arena
But in the Dog Dancing Arena, The Black Eagles displayed their strength and athletism which was astounding.

And also The Curious Eyebrows. A very entertaining duo - very skillful in many ways. What a poser!!!! :-)
