Beautiful weather again as Top Lodge demonstrate Heelwork To Music on The Village Green.

Karen and Fly - only sunshine whilst they dance to Singing In The Rain

Time for the Weaving Race - to give some members of the huge audience a chance to work with the dogs

They all chose which dog they wanted and listened carefully to instructions

Spice and her handler were clear winners today!

The "Chair" of the committee officially welcomed everyone to this beautiful village
Hamish very happily working with Lesley

And little Spice "Flying" once again with Kath

Morris Dancers - very well synchronised
The Dog Show - each class very well supported

The village - everyone of the streets had stalls and bunting
A Fancy Dress Competition - won by "Britannia"

Karen and Fly with Kath and Amber - working to a Freddie Mercury number
And some of the audience found the "Dog Dancing" very emotional.

Summer and Top Lodge Dogs at Tupton

After an awful start to the Summer of 2012, Tupton saw the first sign of a true British Summer.  Top Lodge Dancing Dogs were delighted to be invited to return to Tupton after their first Carnival in 2010.  The Village Green was well drained so the grassed Main Arena was perfect for everyone.
The new Tupton Carnival Queen arrived at the Carnival with her attendants.
A fabulous Pipe Band
The Top Lodge Trio all set up and enjoying a drink before the action
Fancy Dress contestants who had joined the parade
The 2011 Queen hands over to the 2012 Queen.
Kes and Karen thoroughly enjoying their performance to "Me Ol' Bamboo"
A great crowd watching as Kes works with a smile on her face!
Kes still gives Karen a good run for her money!!!
Next it was the turn of Lesley with her puppy Dewy
this was Dewy's first Main Arena performance and he did really well.
Not only heelwork but they added some weaves into the mix
for the audience to see how training begins
With the help of a mike, Kath explains the training procedure for young pups
whilst Denby looks for Allan - the photographer!!
Back into focus, Denby shows heelwork - with Kath's help
He is growing into a handsome dog with a long long stride!
On the sunniest day in July 2012.
Karen and Fly work a Heelwork Routine to Singing In The Rain
It was hard work on the uneven surface
but Karen and Fly show Heelwork to Music at its best
At 11 yrs old, Fly is still full of beans!!!
Hamish and Lesley dance to "A Night Like This"
With his full coat flying - he certainly looks very stylish
Well done to Lesley and Hamish.
